Qualifications &

Experience:

• Current RN license, in good standing
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in a stepdown or telemetry unit
• Proven clinical expertise in monitoring and caring for stepdown-level patients, particularly with cardiac conditions
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, interventions, and acute care protocols
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to adapt quickly in high-acuity settings and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care for adults requiring intermediate cardiac monitoring and interventions
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respond to changes or emergencies promptly
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and deliver treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, allied health staff, and support services
• Maintain accurate records using electronic medical systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
