Assistant Nurse Manager – Intensive Care Unit; ICU

About This Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital will support the nurse manager by providing clinical supervision and unit coordination. This role is ideal for those looking to gain extensive leadership experience while delivering exceptional patient care.

• Pay: $39.50 - $59.60/hour
• Location: Euclid, OH
• Facility: Euclid Hospital
• Department/Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations.
• Provide patient care.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments/units.
• Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers, counsel caregivers on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions and monitor attendance issues.
• Interview, select and orient new caregivers.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.
• Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes, studies and research initiatives.
• Assume responsibilities of the Nurse Manager in their absence.
• Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education and in‑service educational programs.

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required
• Experience:
  • 2+ years of recent clinical nursing experience required
  • 2 years of ICU experience preferred

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire or within one year of employment
