Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical​/Tele

Med/Surg Telemetry Nurse

Provide specialized Med/Surg Telemetry nursing care on a 20-week contract, with options for 13 to 18-week assignments. Responsible for delivering safe, efficient patient care in a hospital setting during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients’ vital signs, ECG rhythms, and overall condition.
• Administer medications and treatments following approved protocols.
• Document patient information accurately using Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update care plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Complete required assessments and pass orientation tests prior to assignment.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio license or compact license in Handaha or a current American Red Cross BLS & ACLS certification.
• Possess at least 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Demonstrate recent Epic charting experience (within last 6 months).
• Provide a recent reference from a manager, supervisor, ANM, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months.
• Pass ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments with acceptable scores.
• Be able to work every other holiday during the assignment.
