Account Manager RoleThe Account Manager oversees order entry, logistics coordination, and customer communication to ensure seamless execution from purchase order creation through final product delivery. This role serves as a key liaison between internal operations, production teams, and external customers to deliver timely and accurate administrative support.
Account Manager Responsibilities- Manage order entry and send prompt order acknowledgements to key customer accounts
- Coordinate domestic and international freight shipments, including paperwork creation and truck scheduling
- Generate purchase orders for fasteners and component parts to support ongoing production needs
- Invoice customers promptly upon the receipt and shipment of finished goods
- Print and distribute production routers on weekly, monthly, and as-needed schedules
- Follow up consistently on past open purchase orders and pending inventory requests
- Work cross-functionally with production and office personnel to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Assist with internal employee benefits communication and address general workforce questions
- Review and correct production team members' timesheets to maintain accurate reporting
- Maintain detailed administrative records and discrete files for confidential business processes
This position reports directly to the Office Manager and does not have any direct reports.
About You- Possess 3+ years of experience in customer service or within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate a high level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Exhibit strong technical skills with an ability and willingness to learn new software platforms
- Display excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Show effective verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to navigate cross-functional logistics challenges
- Possess strong time management abilities to balance multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Maintain a collaborative and team-oriented approach to daily office duties
