What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or access concerns.
- Assist with access control activities, visitor screening, badge verification, and directions while maintaining a courteous and professional presence.
- Document observations, incidents, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be willing and able to restrain individuals when necessary.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
