Maintenance Technician – Lakeland Commons (Euclid, OH)GLR Companies, a full-service property management firm, is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lakeland Commons, a market-rate apartment community in Euclid, OH.
About the RoleThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall physical condition of the property, ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and attractive living environment for residents. This role handles service requests, unit turns, preventive maintenance, and general repairs across the community.
Responsibilities- Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances)
- Prepare vacant units for move-in (unit turns), including painting, repairs, and cleaning coordination
- Conduct regular property inspections and proactively address maintenance concerns
- Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls as part of an on-call rotation
- Maintain curb appeal through grounds keeping, snow removal, and general property upkeep
- Uphold high standards of quality and presentation consistent with a market-rate community
- Communicate professionally and courteously with residents and staff
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and inventory
- Prior experience in property maintenance, apartment maintenance, or a related trade preferred
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, climbing, standing for extended periods)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong customer service skills and a team-oriented, resident-focused attitude
- Availability for on-call emergency maintenance rotation
