Position Summary
Pollak Distributors is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Non-CDL Courier / Delivery Driver to join our local distribution team. In this role, you will operate company passenger vehicles, cargo vans, or pickup trucks to transport priority orders, smaller food shipments, and rush supplies directly to our local commercial clients.
This position focuses on agile, rapid-response deliveries across local routes, serving as a key brand ambassador for Pollak Distributors on the road.
Core ResponsibilitiesDelivery Operations
Safe Transport: Drive standard company fleet vehicles (cargo vans, minivans, or light duty trucks) safely and efficiently in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
Order Delivery: Load, organize, and transport order packages, small food cases, and specialized deliveries to designated customer drop-off points.
Customer Interaction: Greet clients professionally, obtain delivery sign-offs, and address basic delivery inquiries on site.
Route Efficiency: Utilize GPS and route management tools to maintain efficient travel schedules and ensure on-time delivery windows.
Vehicle Care & Documentation
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform quick daily pre-trip and post-trip checks (fuel levels, tire pressure, cleanliness, fluid levels) and keep vehicle interiors tidy.
Issue Reporting: Promptly inform the fleet manager of any vehicle maintenance needs, delays, or route issues.
Log Management: Maintain clear delivery records, returns paperwork, and receipts for fuel or vehicle care.
License: Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional delivery, courier, or driving experience using standard motor vehicles.
Physical Ability: Able to lift, carry, and maneuver package boxes or cases up to 40–50 lbs regularly.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using smartphone/tablet apps for GPS navigation and digital delivery confirmations.
