Position Summary
Pollak Distributors is seeking an experienced, results-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee and optimize our daily distribution center operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall productivity, safety, and efficiency of the warehouse team, managing everything from receiving and inventory management to picking, packing, and fleet dispatch.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who balances tactical, hands‑on floor management with strategic data analysis to keep our supply chain moving seamlessly.
Core ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Development: Supervise, mentor, and schedule a team of warehouse personnel (including stockers, order selectors, and forklift operators). Foster a culture of accountability and high morale.
Operational Efficiency: Streamline receiving, picking, and shipping workflows to maximize throughput and minimize order cycle times.
Inventory & Space Management: Partner with inventory control to maintain 99.9% stock accuracy. Optimize warehouse layout and slotting to improve picking efficiency.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations, internal safety protocols, and equipment maintenance schedules (forklifts, pallet jacks, and dock equipment).
Fleet & Logistics Coordination: Oversee the staging and loading of delivery trucks, ensuring compliance with transport regulations and on‑time dispatch.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, cost per order, and labor efficiency.
Experience: 5+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience, preferably in a fast‑paced distribution or wholesale environment.
Technical Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and RF scanning technology. Advanced Excel skills required.
Equipment Knowledge: Deep understanding of warehouse hardware operation and safety standards (Crown/Caterpillar forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, labor laws, FDA, DOT, and warehouse safety standards.
Problem‑Solving: Excellent analytical and logistics troubleshooting abilities; capable of managing shifting priorities under pressure.
Physical Stamina: Ability to navigate a large warehouse floor daily and lift up to [Insert Weight, e.g., 50 lbs] if necessary.
