Our client, a leading supplier of acoustic and thermal components, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team to optimize production processes, safety, quality and costs. The company has over 60 years of experience as a worldwide leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of components and systems in the automotive sector.

Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for planning utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, personnel, processes and tooling to improve inventory, production and operations. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manages the Engineering Department to deliver the engineering priorities of the facility.
  • Confers with planning, corporate engineering and the design staff concerning product design, capabilities, production schedules and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Establish work measurement programs and analyze data for the development of standards and labor utilization.
  • Guide the need for change for the purpose of improving methods by the use of measurable standards, realistic goals and accountability for improvement
  • Implements and installs technology and machinery. Sets standards and trains all personnel in the safe and productive operation of the equipment and technology.
Experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in automotive interior trim and systems.
  • Successful leadership experience
  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or similar field.
