Job Description

Position Title: Teacher

Qualifications: Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate with proper endorsement(s) and, if applicable, Highly Qualified Teacher designation for teaching assignment.

Reports To: Principal and designees

Supervises: Students and assigned staff

Job Goal: To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible citizens.

Performance Responsibilities
  • Determines individual and classroom needs.
  • Establishes objectives and plans learning experiences.
  • Implements activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
  • Exhibits positive human relations skills.
  • Evaluates the educational programs and/or student progress.
  • Communicates effectively and appropriately with all stakeholders including students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
  • Maintains and submits records and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Adheres to Eufaula City Schools Board of Education policy and administrative guidelines, and state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Spends additional hours on campus participating in faculty meetings, parent conferences, in-service education meetings, PTO meetings, and with other obligations and duties.
  • Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and leadership.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the Principal, as long as they are not in conflict with board policy.
  • Evaluation: Evaluation is conducted by the Principal and designees.

    Salary: Established by the Board of Education as recommended by the Superintendent
