2nd Shift Maintenance Generalist
Eufaula Feed Mill
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
- Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
- Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
- Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
- Must comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
- Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
- Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
- Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity; conditions can be dusty, warm, cold, and/or humid.
- The position’s physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
- Lifting will also be required and, depending on department, could be up to 70lbs.
- Required to wear a safety toe boot that can withstand 75lbs. at all times.

- 2 years prior industrial maintenance experience, experience with Tyson maintenance department, or possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school.
- Previous poultry processing experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical.
- Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules.
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
