As an Assistant Manager you are responsible for all activities that occur during your shift, including:

• Cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations
• Staffing, paperwork, and adherence to standards
• Marketing, profitability, and maintaining store cleanliness

Day‑to‑day tasks include:

• Operate all equipment
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler
• Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
• Clean equipment and facility daily

• Comprehend and give correct written instructions
• Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person

• Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
• Make correct monetary change
• Take and process orders verbally, in writing, and by telephone
• Coordinate motor skills to make rapid, accurate movements with speed
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen

• Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks
• In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to above 90°F in some areas
• Sudden changes in temperature during work
• Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces up to 500°F, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts

• Standing for most tasks; walking short distances for short durations
• Lifting (heavy product deliveries up to 50 lbs, shelving up to 72 inches high)
• Carrying (e.g., large cans, pizza sauce, trays of dough)
• Pushing and pulling (trays, dollies)
• Climbing stairs or ladders occasionally
• Bending, stooping, squatting as needed
• Reaching continuously; hand tasks requiring eye‑hand coordination
