Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of accounting experience and possess strong knowledge of accounts payable, bank reconciliations, debits and credits, and journal entries.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage account reconciliations and accounts payable/receivable functions

+ Complete regular bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reviews

+ Prepare and record journal entries to accurately document all business transactions

+ Administer inter-company transactions and reconcile accounts as needed

+ Maintain comprehensive and organized financial records

+ Support the development of internal controls, policies, and financial planning initiatives

+ Work collaboratively with team members to assist in achieving departmental goals

+ Assist with tax compliance and strategic tax initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline

+ Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

+ Solid background in accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and journal entry processes

+ Experience using accounting software applications

+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite

+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

+ Exceptional organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities
