Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Accounting Clerk with a focus on deal capping to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all vehicle deals are accurately reviewed, processed, and finalized in compliance with company and manufacturer standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced dealership environment and has a strong understanding of automotive accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities- Review and cap retail and wholesale automotive deals for accuracy and completeness
- Verify deal structure including pricing, fees, taxes, rebates, and lender funding details
- Ensure all required documentation is complete, signed, and compliant with state and lender regulations
- Post deals into the accounting system and reconcile schedules
- Coordinate with sales and finance departments to resolve discrepancies or missing information
- Track funding status and follow up on outstanding contracts or receivables
- Maintain accurate records of deals, contracts, and related documentation
Assist with month‑end closing by ensuring all deals are processed and posted in a timely manner - Support audits and internal compliance processes related to deal files
- DMV auditing
- Bank reconciliation and balancing

- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred)
- Strong understanding of automotive deal structures, contracts, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and dealership management/accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with sales and finance teams
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
