Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional who takes pride in accuracy and organization? Blachly-Lane Electric Cooperative is hiring an Accountant to support payroll, work orders, inventory accounting, miscellaneous receivables, fleet records, and bank reconciliations. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records that keep our Cooperative running smoothly for the members we serve.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare and issue payroll, reconcile payroll general ledger accounts, and maintain the payroll Masterfile.
- Perform monthly work order closing and capitalization, and schedule inventory cycle counts.
- Create accounts receivable invoices and maintain fleet records, including quarterly fuel tax filings.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and assist with budget and audit material preparation.
* This is an in-office role in Eugene, OR.
Essential Skills & Knowledge for this Role- Accounting degree or professional experience required;
Prior utility industry experience, knowledge of the FERC Uniform System of Accounts, or NISC iVue Financials experience is preferred. - Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Office 365 and other standard business software.
- Excellent documentation and math skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
