Legal Secretary
OverviewThe Office of Administrative Hearings is responsible for conducting administrative hearings for most state agencies in the State of Oregon. Our mission is to serve the public by providing fair, accessible and efficient contested case services in a neutral forum. Every day, our staff of dedicated professionals provides hearing services for Oregonians throughout the state regarding issues that affect their daily lives, their businesses, and their professions.

- Complete all tasks related to the efficient flow of hearings, including processing incoming contested cases to ensure files are complete, contain documentation specific to issues, are properly entered in the case tracking system, scheduled promptly, and notices of hearings issued.
- Proof and issue proposed and/or final orders and close case files. Prepare cases for Court of Appeals. Communicate regularly with parties, attorneys, agency representatives, Administrative Law Judges (ALJs) and managers regarding program areas, processes and tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
Two years of clerical/secretarial experience which included at least one year as a legal assistant or secretary for an attorney or judge, or performing legal support duties (e.g., preparing legal documents, maintaining legal records, or researching legal information). Experience must include proficiency in word processing software.
