Position Summary: The Office Generalist serves as the main receptionist and administrative support in ASU 5. Responsibilities include front‑office management, supervising student workers, scheduling, inventory tracking, event coordination, communication support, building maintenance coordination, tech support, and other daily operational tasks. The role is the first point of contact for staff, faculty, students, and the public, routing inquiries, disseminating information, and addressing issues in accordance with unit policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary receptionist and point of contact.
- Supervise student workers and manage front‑office operations.
- Coordinate deliveries, track inventory, and schedule conference rooms.
- Support event coordination and general communications.
- Coordinate building maintenance, tech support, and other office tasks.
- Apply standard operating procedures and unit policies to direct workflows.
- Escalate matters to the Operations Manager when required.
- Two years of general clerical experience, including typing or word processing.
- Associate’s degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology, or a certificate with one year of clerical experience.
- College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology may substitute for required experience on a year‑for‑year basis.

FLSA Exempt: Not exempt.
