Job Description Summary
In partnership with the chief of staff, the Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day-to-day operations so the medical team can devote their time to delivering the highest quality veterinary care.
Employment type:
Full‑Time.
- Interview, hire and develop associates.
- Evaluate the hospital’s processes, progress and productivity.
- Educate associates on Banfield guidelines and practices.
- Budget and plan for the hospital.
- Handle day‑to‑day operations.
- Schedule associates, coordinate time off and manage continuing education needs.
- Train associates to educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs and hospital services.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Three years of related experience, including direct supervisory experience (hiring, associate development).
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem‑solving ability and conflict‑management experience.
- Leadership and analytical know‑how.
- Understanding of the Five Principles:
Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency, Freedom.
- Salary range: $63,822.10 – $85,187.47 (dependent on experience, skill level, education and geographic location).
