Project Manager / Estimator

Our client, a respected and growing commercial flooring contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join its team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional who understands both the technical and operational sides of commercial flooring and takes pride in delivering successful projects from bid through closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial flooring projects.
  • Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Manage awarded projects from turnover through closeout.
  • Coordinate material procurement, scheduling, labor, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain project budgets, schedules, and documentation.
  • Work closely with general contractors, owners, architects, installers, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, closeout documents, and project billing.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations to ensure a seamless transition from estimating to project execution.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial flooring estimating and/or project management experience required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial flooring products, installation methods, specifications, and construction practices.
  • Experience reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and prepare competitive project estimates.
  • Proven experience managing commercial flooring projects from award through completion.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Office, and project management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining long-term client relationships.
