Non‑Credit / Extra Duty - Position Type:
Non‑Credit / Extra Duty - Salary: $40.00 per hour; no health benefits.
- Up to 40 hours per week: 7:30‑5:30 Monday‑Friday, possible Wednesday evenings and/or alternate Saturdays.
- Schedule tailored to available dental assistants and student clinic sessions.
- Occasional or recurring schedule possible.
- Must be eligible for licensure for Dental Hygiene in Oregon.
Preferred Education
- Dental Hygiene Expanded Practice Permit
- Dental Hygiene Restorative Functions Endorsement
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a community dental clinic.
- Experience working with medically underserved populations.
- Support student learning through clinical activities and mentorship.
- Maintain compliance with college policies, time sheets, and leave accounting.
- Sustain currency in dental hygiene practice and teaching innovation.
- Participate collegially in faculty performance evaluation.
- Maintain and post office hours in alignment with college expectations.
- Ensure student records, attendance, grades, and documentation are complete and secure.
- Apply FERPA standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Other duties as assigned.

Indoor work; exposed to typical office conditions. Requires sitting or standing for extended periods, performing cognitive work for over six hours per day. May encounter hostility or abusive behavior. Must transport materials up to 25 pounds.
