We are seeking a full-time Veterinary Dentist to join our team in Springfield, OR. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled veterinarian with a passion for dentistry to provide high-quality dental care to pets in our community. The ideal candidate will hold a DVM or equivalent degree with specialized training or experience in veterinary dentistry.
About the Role:The Veterinary Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including routine cleanings, advanced diagnostics, and oral surgeries, all while educating pet owners about preventive dental care. This role requires a compassionate and skilled approach to elevate our patients' oral and overall health.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform dental exams, cleanings, and detailed charting for all patients.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of dental and oral health issues, including periodontal disease and fractures.
- Conduct oral surgeries and extractions, as necessary, with a focus on quality and precision.
- Educate clients on preventive dental care and post-treatment instructions.
- Work closely with the veterinary team to create and implement personalized dental treatment plans.
- Maintain detailed and accurate dental records for each patient.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
- Specialized experience or training in veterinary dentistry; board certification in veterinary dentistry is preferred, but not required.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in dental care and oral surgery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client education and team collaboration.
- Commitment to continuing education in the field of veterinary dentistry.
