Part Time Dental Assistant - Dental Clinic

Position Information

Part‑time Dental Assistant – Dental Clinic at Lane Community College, Main Campus. Temporary, non‑credit extra duty, part‑time. Pay: $25.00 per hour. Start upon hire. Up to 40 hours per week:
Monday‑Friday 7:30‑5:30; possible evenings and Saturdays. Exempt under FLSA. No health benefits. Position contingent on grant funding.

Provide dental services and trainee education in a community clinic.

• Assist in patient care: cleaning, restorative services, preventive care.
• Mentor and support dental‑assisting students.
• Maintain compliance with college policies: records, timesheets, supplies.
• Support clinic operations: opening/closing procedures, inventory.
• Provide superior patient experience, especially for underserved populations.
• Maintain confidentiality, follow FERPA and ADA compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Dental Assistant Oregon certification.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Must reside in Oregon.

• Prior experience in a community‑clinic dental setting.
• Experience serving medically underserved populations.
• Multilingual skills.
