Required Qualifications

Required Education

  • Licensed graduate of an Accredited Dental Hygiene Program

AND

  • A Bachelor's Degree in any field, OR
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree with anticipated graduation within three (3) years of date of hire.

Required Experience

  • Recent (within the last 3 years) work with patients/clients in a dental hygiene setting and/or academic/clinical teaching experience in dental hygiene.
  • Current knowledge of the subject as demonstrated through continuing education courses or college courses, current concepts in the dental hygiene pre‑clinic subjects of basic instrumentation, assessment procedures, and protocols for the dental hygiene process of care.

Licensure or Certification Requirements

  • Must be eligible for Licensure for Dental Hygiene in Oregon.
  • Dental Hygiene Expanded Practice Permit or eligible to obtain by date of hire.
  • Nitrous Oxide Sedation Permit or eligible to obtain by date of hire.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS.
