Job Overview
Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon seeks to add a full-time orthopedic Physician Assistant to the team. This position includes both the clinic and OR. This is a well-established and busy practice. This doctor focuses on hip and knee joint replacements and general cases. The Physician Assistant will run an orthopedic clinic parallel to the physician. The group has a state-of-the-art facility which includes PT/OT, EMR and newer OR suites.

Call is only two days per month.

Responsibilities

• Run orthopedic clinic
• First assist
• Joint aspiration and injections
• Pre-op and post-op H&P?s
• Hospital rounding
• Write scripts
• Coordinate with Physical Therapist
• Ordering tests and evaluating X-ray, CT scan and MRI
• Casting and splinting

Skills

• This doctor will train a recent graduate with an orthopedic rotation.

The location is within a convenient drive to Eugene, Oregon. Compensation: excellent. Additionally, there is an excellent benefits package.
