Lane County Behavioral Health in beautiful Eugene, Oregon is seeking a skilled and compassionate general psychiatrist for its community outpatient clinic.

This is the ideal position for the clinician interested in the rewards associated with serving more vulnerable patients through the public mental health system while also achieving an excellent work/life balance. In this role, you will provide psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care in our Adult Outpatient and Forensic Clinics while working as part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to comprehensive, coordinated, and person-centered care for individuals who often experience significant barriers to accessing treatment.

Lane County Behavioral Health Services encompasses a broad array of services and programs to more than 1,600 individuals with behavioral health conditions. LCBH Services include treatment for children, families, and adults. Services can be accessed through a variety of programs focusing on mental health issues. Lane County Behavioral Health Services is a public mental health provider receiving funding from state mental health grants and client fees, some of which may be in the form of Medicaid, Medicare, and other insurance carriers' reimbursements.

About the Community:

Lane County Behavioral Health is located across from Autzen Stadium and the University of Oregon in Eugene, a vibrant city between the Oregon Coast and Cascade Mountains. The region offers exceptional hiking, biking, skiing, paddling, fishing and wine country, along with a strong restaurant and arts scene. Known as "Track Town USA," Eugene hosts world-class track events and is just over two hours from Portland.

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Qualifications

Training and

Experience:

  • Graduation from an approved school of medicine with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an approved residency program in psychiatry by time of appointment.
  • Board certification as a psychiatrist, or the ability to become board certified within 24 months.
  • Possession of a State of Oregon medical license at the time of appointment.
  • Possession of a Drug Enforcement Agency number at the time of appointment.

  • National Certification by a nationally recognized board
  • Drug Enforcement Agency certificate
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Current BLS/CPR
  • Diploma
  • Transcripts
  • CV or Resume
  • Oregon Driver's License

Preferred Requirements:

  • Forensic training and experience is preferred but not required.

  • This position is subject to a DHS ORCHARDS background check.
