The Physician Assistant will be responsible for performing diagnostic evaluations, assisting in surgical procedures, and managing a broad spectrum of ophthalmic cases with precision and professionalism. No holidays, weekends, nights, or weekends.

Compensation: $ for new graduates; higher based on ophthalmology experience. Incentive pay based on productivity negotiable

Work Location:

In person, Monday-Friday 8-5

• Evaluate and manage patients under physician supervision.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and conducting examinations.
• Diagnose and treat common ophthalmic conditions within the PA scope of practice.
• Assist physicians with in office procedures and surgical procedures.
• Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests and imaging, and learn to perform routine refractions.
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and postoperative care.
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure high quality patient care.

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Physician Assistant license in the State of OR
• NCCPA certification required.
• DEA license (or ability to obtain).
• BLS certification.
• Prior ophthalmology experience preferred, but motivated new graduates with a strong interest in ophthalmology are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, busy, fast paced, patient-centered environment.
