This facility operates as part of a large health system and provides specialized hematology and oncology services within a structured outpatient clinic environment. The facility is a mid-size hospital supported by clinical staff that includes medical assistants and advanced practice providers to facilitate coordinated oncologic care delivery. Established clinical protocols are in place to support quality hematologic and oncologic care on a locum tenens basis.

The area surrounding this assignment offers clinicians access to a range of coastal and outdoor attractions suited to varied interests. Notable natural landmarks include the Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area and Devils Punchbowl State Natural Area, and the Oregon Coast Aquarium provides additional options for exploration. Outdoor pursuits such as hiking, kayaking, surfing, fishing, and whale watching along the Pacific shore are available, while art galleries, performing arts venues, and a working waterfront with marine heritage provide cultural and leisure opportunities during time away from clinical duties.

Clinicians will provide on-site outpatient hematology and oncology coverage on a day shift schedule, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with the possibility of an occasional four-day week; no call or weekend obligations are required. The clinical scope encompasses the evaluation and management of hematologic and oncologic conditions within an outpatient clinic for an adult patient population, with 14-18 patient encounters anticipated per day and 0-2 new consults expected.

Documentation is completed using the iKnowMed EMR system. Hospital privileges are required for this assignment, with a credentialing period of approximately 90 days. Medical assistants and APPs are available on staff to support clinical operations.
