Job Title: Instructor Pool - Manufacturing Plant Electrician Apprenticeship

Applicant Notification: Department Information — Our Business, Technology, and Trades Division at Lane Community College is seeking to expand its pool of part-time faculty to teach apprenticeship courses.

  • Beyond the required education and experience, instructors must have a passion for what they teach and have teaching styles that support student success. Instructors are responsible for following Division and College procedures in support of teaching and learning.
  • This is an applicant pool posting for 2026. The assigned location for this position is at the Lane Community College's main campus located in Eugene, Oregon.

    Required Qualifications
    • Required Education: Associate of Applied Science OR Oregon Journeyman Card
    • Required Experience: Two (2) years of experience in the related trade.
    • Conditions of Employment:
      • Successful applicants are required to complete a criminal background check. Infractions are evaluated case-by-case.
      • Must work and reside in the state of Oregon at the time their work is performed.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Associate's Degree within the Construction Industry.
    • Demonstrable, real-world experience in the manufacturing plant electrical industrial trade.
    • Construction or industrial foreman/supervision in an industrial setting.
    • Teaching or construction/industrial-related experience.
    • Experience with apprenticeship training programs and standards.
