Through recruitment programs such as the Ambassador Program, Duck Preview, Duck Days, and orientation and transition events such as Intro
DUCKtion, Week of Welcome, and the Welcome to the Flock series, SOP serves approximately 100,000 visitors, prospective students, new students, and families. Additionally, in providing staffing support to other departments within the Division of Student Services and Enrollment Management, SOP staff interact with more than 100,000 Oregonians who learn about the University through community-based festivals, events, and educational programs throughout the state of Oregon.
The department employs nearly 150 student staff each year, fostering skill and experience development in an ongoing student development effort. Department staff and students conduct their work in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly collaborative environment in a variety of settings.
