Our Business, Technology, and Trades Department is seeking to expand its pool of part-time faculty to teach Automotive Technology.

* Beyond the required education and experience instructors must have a passion for what they teach and have teaching styles that support student success. Instructors are responsible for following Division and College procedures in support of teaching and learning.

Required QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Education:

* Master ASE Automotive certification (in all eight (8) areas), or ability to acquire certification within one (1) year.

OR

* Degree in Automotive Technology or related field and three (3) or more years of recent experience as a technician or management level.

OR

* Equivalent education and professional experience in Automotive Technology.

Required Experience:

Recent experience in a professional Automotive Technology field that would include one (1) or more of the following areas: engine repair, automatic transmission/transaxle, manual drive trains and axles, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, heating, and air conditioning, and engine performance.

Licensure or Certification Requirements Conditions of Employment:

Preferred QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Education

Bachelor degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent.

Preferred Experience

* Experience working with computerized automotive trainers.

* Experience working with Hybrid Electrical Vehicles.

* Community College teaching experience.

* Automotive foreman/supervision experience.
