Required QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Education:
Two (2) years of post-secondary education with course work in General Physics sequence with a lab component and an upper-division physics sequence at a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
Required Experience:
The equivalent of two (2) years of experience directly related to equipment and apparatus found in physics labs and demonstrations.
Licensure or Certification Requirements Conditions of Employment:

* Must work and reside in the state of Oregon at the time their work is being performed.
Preferred QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education
* A Bachelor's Degree in a physics from a regionally accredited institution.
* Physics lab coursework.
Preferred Experience
* Experience in an physics laboratory setting, supporting such work in an academic or industrial setting where substantial training occurs.
* Experience in an academic laboratory with progressively increasing responsibility for laboratory preparation.
* Experience as a teaching assistant or tutor in physics lab classes.
* Community college experience.
