Position Summary
The Department of Physical Education and Recreation is seeking qualified applicants for its open instruction pool. Positions are limited-duration appointments potentially renewable for up to three years. Course loads will be scheduled on an as-needed basis.
Potential courses may include, but not limited to:
Basketball, Volleyball, Mind-Body, Swimming, Fitness, and Weight Training.
Instructor responsibilities include:
Attend fall department orientation meetings and area-specific training; prepare and deliver class content according to set curriculum; implement the teaching progressions, strategies, techniques, and safety measures outlined by the course calendar; administer assignments and/or tests; follow the course syllabus; keep accurate attendance and performance records; ensure physical participation and help guide improvement through practice; assign grades and submit them online adhering to deadlines set by Office of the…
