Department Information
Lane Community College's Adult Basic & Secondary Education Department is seeking to expand its pool of part-time faculty to teach Basic Skills Development, GED Preparation, and/or College Preparation.
* Beyond the required education and experience, instructors must have a passion for what they teach and have teaching styles that support student success. Instructors are responsible for following Division and College procedures in support of teaching and learning.
* This is an application pool posting for , starting in Spring 2026.
* Positions may be available at the following Lane locations:
Main Campus, Downtown Campus, Cottage Grove, Florence, Springfield and in corrections environments (Lane County Jail), however the primary location will be at the Main and Downtown Campuses in Eugene. Online courses may also be possible.

* The Part-time Faculty benefits package includes a generous contribution toward medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, and paid sick leave. Part-time faculty may be eligible for full contracted benefits after meeting certain criteria.

Required QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Education:
* Master's degree in Education, Teaching, Adult Education, TESOL/TEFL, or Special Education, or related field AND either of the following:
* A minimum of 24 undergraduate or graduate credit hours in mathematics.
* A teaching license with an endorsement in an area relevant to mathematics instruction.
* Degrees and credits need to be from a regionally accredited institution.
Required Experience:
* Two (2) years secondary, special education, or adult education experience teaching basic skills or life skills.
AND
* One (1) year experience teaching basic math or life skills math, OR two (2) years secondary, special education, or adult education experience teaching developmental level math.
Licensure or Certification Requirements
Professional development in the Oregon Adult College and Career Readiness Standards and use of CASAS data upon employment within ninety (90) days of hire.
