The Business, Technology, and Trades Division of Lane Community College is seeking to hire one or more Instructional Specialists for the Automotive Technology Program.

Schedule:

* This position works on an as-needed basis and is a temporary assignment based on student, college, and division needs. Variable work hours based on department needs.

* The Automotive Technology Program is open Monday through Thursday, from 7 am to 3 pm.

* There may be a few times within the academic year that evenings and weekends will be required, based on events.

* Schedule may vary with hours increasing during peak periods up to 40 hours per week, up to 1039 hours in a 12-month period.

Required QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Education:

Two (2) years of post-secondary education or training in Automotive Tech or related field

OR equivalent education and professional experience in Automotive Technology.

Required Experience:

Two (2) years of experience in a professional Automotive Technology field that would include one or more of the following areas: engine repair, automatic transmission/transaxle, manual drive trains and axles, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, heating, and air conditioning, and engine performance.

Licensure or Certification Requirements

Master ASE Automotive certification (in all eight areas), or ability to acquire certification within one year.
