The Business, Tech, and Trades Division of Lane Community College invites applications for one (1) or more part-time, as-needed, Instructional Specialist for the Fabrication/Welding Technology Program.

* This is a part-time, as-needed position.
* The Fabrication/Welding Program is open Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
* There may be a few times within the academic year that evenings and weekends will be required, based on events.
* Schedule may vary with hours increasing during peak periods up to 40 hours per week, up to 1039 hours in a 12-month period.

Required QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Education:
Two (2) years of post-secondary education or formal training with coursework in Fabrication and Welding.
Required Experience:
Two (2) years of industrial experience in fabrication and welding
OR
Two (2) years of formal training.
Licensure or Certification Requirements Conditions of Employment:

* Must work and reside in the state of Oregon at the time their work is being performed.
Preferred QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education
* Knowledge of AWS Standards.
* Welding certification in at least one (1) welding process.
Preferred Experience
* Experience in GTAW, OF cutting, plasma cutting, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW various electrodes, forklift, overhead crane, blueprint reading, air-carbon arc cutting, and machine tool operation (forming, cutting functions).
* Experience welding in all positions.
