A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist to support the educational and emotional well-being of students in the Eugene, OR area. This role involves working closely with school staff to assess and address student needs, providing critical support to promote academic success and mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling services and support interventions for students facing behavioral, social, or emotional challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to design and implement strategies that enhance student outcomes.
- Assist in crisis intervention and develop preventative programs promoting mental wellness.
- Travel between multiple school locations as required to deliver services and support.
Qualifications and
Experience:
- Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist.
- Experience performing psychological evaluations in educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and school teams.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness and ability to travel between schools as needed.
