Bethel School District is seeking appropriately licensed candidates for a 1.0 FTE Temporary School Counselor for the 2026‑2027 school year at Cascade Middle School.
Qualifications- Possess an Oregon Teaching License valid for assignment by the start of the school year
- Ability to implement culturally proficient skills and strategies
- Successfully pass fingerprinting, criminal, Oregon Department of Education, and TSPC background checks
- Experience working with bilingual students and families (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Capacity to use data to inform instructional decisions
- Commitment to Social Emotional Learning and restorative practices
- Knowledge of developmental stages of a child's learning process
- Ability to manage workload, meet time‑consuming responsibilities, and prepare lesson materials
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with students, administrators, and parents
- Ability to safely operate standard office and audio‑visual equipment
- Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding students and staff
