Job DescriptionBethel School District is seeking licensed candidates for two temporary 1.0 FTE K-5 teachers for the school year at Fairfield Elementary School. Grade level(s) to be determined. Candidates who are licensed or will be licensed by the start of the school year are encouraged to apply. Bilingual and/or bicultural candidates are strongly encouraged and will receive preferential consideration. The District is committed to supporting the whole student.
Responsibilities- Provide instruction for K‑5 students, creating a growth‑mindset culture.
- Maintain unconditional positive regard for all students, staff, families, and colleagues.
- Adjust instruction to meet diverse student needs, abilities, and interests.
- Fully support and implement Social Emotional Learning.
- Use data to inform instructional decisions and improve instruction.
- Collaborate with school community to foster a welcoming environment.
- Participate in professional development and reflect on instruction.
- Knowledge of educational programs and basic educational techniques.
- Understanding of child developmental stages.
- Time management and workload scheduling.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work with small groups and individual students.
- Preparation of lesson plans and materials.
- Positive interaction with students and adults.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Maintaining confidentiality and attendance.
- Operating standard office and audiovisual equipment.
- Possess an Oregon teaching license valid by the start of the school year.
- Implement culturally proficient skills and strategies.
- Successfully pass fingerprinting, criminal, ODE, and TSPC background checks.
Bilingual candidates and candidates experienced working with bilingual students and families will receive preferential consideration.
