This contract opportunity offers full-time hours (37.5-40 per week) with the flexibility of working across multiple sites within a vibrant educational community near Eugene, OR. Qualifications:

• Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or Visually Impaired Teacher
• Strong background in adapting curriculum and instructional techniques for students with visual impairments
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Willingness and ability to travel to different school locations within the district
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
• Commitment to upholding the dignity and independence of all students

Your Role Will Include:

• Providing specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in accordance with their IEPs
• Consulting and collaborating with general education teachers and staff on accommodations and accessibility practices
• Assessing student needs and assisting with the selection and use of adaptive technology and materials
• Facilitating skill development in braille, orientation and mobility, and independent living
• Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records as required
• Participating in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities

This position provides a meaningful chance to work directly with students in diverse settings-no remote or hybrid options are available. Assignment specifics, including start and end dates, will follow the finalized school calendar, with an anticipated schedule from mid-to-late August through late May or early June.
