Department Information
The Health Professions Department is seeking to expand its pool of part-time faculty to teach Nursing Assistant courses, as well as act as the program director.
The primary responsibility of the Nursing Assistant Instructor is to provide quality teaching in a full range of community college Nursing Assistant courses.
* Beyond the required education and experience, instructors must have a passion for what they teach and have teaching styles that support student success. Instructors are responsible for following Division and College procedures in support of teaching and learning.
* This is an application pool posting for 2026. The assigned location for this position is at the Lane Community College's main campus located in Eugene, Oregon.

Required Qualifications
Required
Education:
* Associate Degree In Nursing
* Have evidence of completion of a course on teaching adults, or one (1) year of experience teaching adults in any of the following:
* As faculty in a nursing education program
* In a staff development role
* As a nurse administrator
Required Experience:
* Two (2) years' professional experience as an RN, with at least one (1) year in direct patient care in a licensed long-term care nursing facility
* One (1) year of experience in direct patient care in an acute care facility
Licensure or Certification Requirements
* Hold current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nursing (RN) license
* Current certification in CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers and First Aid, or the ability to obtain it prior to employment
