- Salary/Wage Range: $18.96 – $27.80 (Classified Hourly Pay Grade

- Part‑time position;
Variable work hours based on department needs. - Schedule may vary with hours increasing during peak periods up to 20 hours per week, up to 1 039 hours in a 12‑month period.
- Schedules are generally set for one term at a time, but shorter duration or flexible assignments may be needed to meet demand.
- Two years of post‑secondary education or training with coursework in the area of assignment.
- Equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered qualifying.
- Two years of experience tutoring, mentoring, or otherwise providing one‑on‑one or group guidance to students at the college level.
- Successful applicants are required to complete a criminal background check. Infractions do not necessarily disqualify a candidate, and will be evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Must work and reside in the state of Oregon at the time their work is being performed.
- Works independently and as part of a team.
- Tutors and coaches students through assignments, preparation for assessments and projects, and supports learning course‑ and subject‑specific material.
- Mentors peer/student tutors as assigned.
- Assists students to work through assigned materials or self‑instructional modules.
- Observes and diagnoses areas that are causing the student problems in their course assignments, work, or personal correspondence or communication.
- Discusses problem areas with students and provides explanation, clarification, reference materials or examples.
- May create study guides or other learning materials to support student learning.
- Reports needs and issues to the Academic and Tutoring team as needed.
