Position: 2026 - 27 SY 1.0 FTE 6-8 Grade Special Education Teacher

Job Summary

Bethel School District is hiring a 1.0 FTE 6–8 grade Special Education Teacher for the Meadow View classroom for the 2026‑2027 school year. Candidates must hold a current Oregon teaching license and be fully licensed by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission before the start of the school year. The position is fully salaried FTE with a salary range of $50,285 to $101,477 depending on experience and education.

Incentive

Successful candidates will receive a $4,000 Special Education Hiring Incentive, prorated based on the employee’s hire date. The incentive is paid in four installments:

  • $1,000 bonus after 30 days of work
  • $750 in the December paycheck
  • $750 in the March paycheck
  • $1,500 in June at the conclusion of the school year

Selection Factors
  • Knowledge of educational programs offered in all schools and of basic educational techniques

Minimum Qualifications
  • Possess an Oregon teaching license valid for assignment by the start of the school year
  • Implement culturally proficient skills and strategies
  • Successfully pass fingerprinting, criminal background checks, Oregon Department of Education, and TSPC checks
