Job Description

Bethel School District is seeking appropriately licensed candidates for 1.0 FTE Speech Language Pathologists for the  school year. Multiple positions may be available.

Responsibilities
  • Observe, screen, and evaluate students to determine current level of performance and eligibility for services.
  • Prepare evaluation reports and participate in drafting IEP goals and objectives.
  • Provide case management for students eligible for special education, following state and federal requirements.
  • Provide direct therapy and instruction to students, analyze and review student progress, communicate with teachers and parents, and prepare classroom for instruction.
  • Develop, select, and implement direct, indirect, and consultative services based on assessment results and intervention goals.
  • Participate as a team member supporting students who qualify for special education, including behavior support planning.
  • Establish and maintain intervention schedules for schools and children with IEP and service plans.
Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $50,285 to $101,477 (depending on experience and education)

Contract Days: 192

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License by start of the school year.
  • Ability to implement culturally proficient skills and strategies.
  • Success in fingerprinting, criminal, and Oregon Department of Education background checks.

  • Ability to schedule workload, manage time, and meet student needs.

  • Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and prompt attendance.
