Job DescriptionBethel School District is seeking an appropriately licensed candidate for a 1.0 FTE K‑8 Special Education Teacher at Prairie Mountain for the 2026‑2027 school year. Candidates who are licensed or will obtain a valid Oregon Teaching License by the start of the 2026‑2027 school year are encouraged to apply.
Special Education Hiring Incentive- $1,000 bonus after 30 days of work
- $750 in December paycheck
- $750 in March paycheck
- $1,500 in June at the conclusion of the school year
Salary Range: $50,285 to $101,477 (depending on experience and education)
Contract Days: 192

- Possess an Oregon Teaching License valid for assignment by the start of the school year.
- Ability to implement culturally proficient skills and strategies.
- Successfully pass fingerprinting, criminal, Oregon Department of Education, and TSPC background checks.
- Robust mentoring from a veteran teacher for newly hired teachers.
- K‑5 instructional coaching with a Literacy Coach.
- Week‑long New Teacher Academy prior to in‑service week.
- On‑going coaching and support.
- Opportunities to visit and observe colleagues.
- Professional development in the science of reading, culturally responsive instructional practices, RTI/MTSS processes, data analysis, equity, and trauma‑informed practices.
