Job DescriptionBethel School District is seeking an appropriately licensed K‑8 Special Education Teacher for Meadow View for the 2026‑2027 school year. This position is 0.5‑1.0 FTE with 192 contract days.
Hiring Incentive- $1,000 bonus after 30 days of work
- $750 in December paycheck
- $750 in March paycheck
- $1,500 in June at the conclusion of the school year
Salary range: $50,285 – $101,477 (depending on experience and education).

Key Responsibilities- Teach one or more core subjects to students with special needs, including developing and implementing individualized instruction.
- Use data to inform instructional decisions and adapt programs to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain unconditional positive regard for all students, families and colleagues; foster a growth‑mindset classroom culture.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents, and participate in team meetings, professional learning communities, and data review sessions.
- Implement Social‑Emotional Learning practices and trauma‑informed instructional strategies.
- Prepare and maintain instructional materials, lesson plans, and records in compliance with district policies.
- Provide support to students during enroute and to their families, ensuring a respectful and culturally responsive environment.
- Knowledge of educational programs offered in all schools and basic instructional techniques.
- Understanding of developmental stages of child learning.
- Ability to schedule workload, manage time and meet student needs.
- Ability to work with small groups and individual students.
- Ability to implement and maintain confidentiality and privacy of student records.
- Ability to use instructional technology and standard office equipment.
- Oregon Teaching License valid for assignment by start of the school year.
- Background checks: fingerprinting, criminal, Oregon Department of Education, and TSPC.
- Oregon Teaching License valid for assignment by start of the school year.
- Ability to implement culturally proficient skills and strategies.
- Successful completion of background checks as listed above.
