Bethel School District is seeking a qualified applicant for the Head Varsity Softball Coach at Willamette High School.

• Demonstrated skills in organization, time management, and public relations.
• Knowledge of softball skills and drills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the high school team including practice and meet organization.
• Work closely with all teams and coaches within the program.
• Provide regular communication with parents, families, and school personnel.
• Regularly track the academic progress of all student athletes in the program and facilitate necessary supports to ensure their academic eligibility.

Reporting: The WHS Assistant Softball Coach reports directly to the Athletic Director and Principal and/or their designee.

Pre‑employment Requirements for all hired coaches:

• NFHS Coaching Fundamentals Certification ()
• Completion of Safe Schools Coursework annually and other Bethel School District requirements.
• Fingerprinting/Criminal Background Check.
• Completion of NFHS Concussion in Sports Certification annually ().
• Completion of OSAA Steroid Prevention Course every four years.
• Completion of NFHS Heat Acclimatization and Heat Illness Prevention every two years ().
• Completion of NFHS Engaging Effectively With Parents ().
• Completion of NFHS Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment ().
