Department SummaryThe Lundquist College of Business is one of seven schools housing academic programs on the University of Oregon campus. Located 110 miles south of Portland, the University of Oregon has an enrollment of over 25,000. The Eugene metro area is noted for its dynamic quality of life and progressive cultural environment. We are about an hour's drive from the Pacific coast and the Cascade Mountains.

PositionSummary
The Department of Finance maintains a pool of candidates interested in filling pro tempore positions as needs arise. Pro Tem appointments are limited‑duration and potentially renewable for up to a total of three years. Pro tempore faculty work under the supervision of the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research and/or the requisite department head.
The Department is seeking talented pro tem faculty who are passionate about teaching and learning to teach Finance at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Courses are scheduled to be conducted on campus and in the classroom. Candidates should be strongly committed to quality undergraduate and graduate instruction, student service, contributing positively to our diverse community, and working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Minimum Requirements- Master's degree. In exceptional circumstances, a BA/BS degree and evidence of substantial professional experience may substitute for an advanced degree.
- Lecturer (for those teaching primarily graduate‑level courses):
Terminal degree in relevant field. - Professor of Practice:
Substantial basis of experience equal to a tenured professor (normally a minimum of 12 years). National/international reputation for excellence reflected in a record of significant accomplishments. Profile of accumulated professional accomplishments. Rich and extensive background in the field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that will enhance community relations and support undergraduate/graduate student training.
- Ability to contribute positively to our diverse community and to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability or potential for quality teaching.
- PhD or other doctorate and demonstrated teaching experience.
