Our Social Science Division is seeking to expand its part-time faculty Psychology pool, both online and in-classroom courses. The primary responsibility of the Psychology Instructor is to provide quality teaching both online and in-classroom in a full range of community college Psychology courses which may include;
Introductory Psychology courses, Lifespan Developmental Psychology, Learning and Memory; etcetera. Beyond the required education and experience, instructors must have a passion for what they teach and have teaching styles that support student success. Instructors are responsible for following Division and College procedures in support of teaching and learning. This is an application pool posting for academic year . The assigned location for this position is at the Lane Community College's main campus located in Eugene, Oregon.

Salary/Compensation Statement:
Our application is used to determine the initial salary placement for selected candidates. All employment and education history will be considered. Starting range for part-time faculty is Step 1 – Step 10, see our Part-time Faculty Salary Schedule in our Part-time Faculty Payroll Information section. The Part-time Faculty benefits package includes a generous contribution toward medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, long-term disability and paid sick leave.
Part-time faculty may be eligible for full contracted benefits after meeting certain criteria.

Required Qualifications
Required
Education:
Master's degree in Psychology. All degrees and graduate hours must be from a regionally accredited institution.

Licensure or Certification Requirements
Conditions of Employment:
Successful applicants are required to pass a criminal background check. Infractions do not necessarily disqualify a candidate, and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Must work and reside in the state of Oregon at the time their work is being performed.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education
- Master's in Developmental Psychology or graduate coursework in Developmental Psychology.
Preferred Experience
- Teaching experience with community college student populations. Experience teaching online. Experience with learning management systems. Experience teaching Lifespan Developmental Psychology at the college level.
