Required
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
- One (1) year of competition experience in track and field sprints at the collegiate level
- OR Two (2) years of experience at the high school or equivalent in the sprint events.
Licensure or Certification Requirements:
- Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within one (1) month of hire.
- A current and valid driver's license and the ability to pass the online driving test for Oregon Motor Pool and Lane Motor Pool within one (1) month of hire.
Conditions of Employment:
- Successful applicants are required to complete a criminal background check. Infractions do not necessarily disqualify a candidate, and will be evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Must work and reside in the state of Oregon at the time their work is being performed.
Preferred Education: Two (2) years of higher education, or equivalent.
Preferred Experience: Previous coaching experience.

PositionPurpose
To provide a successful, high quality and competitive experience for the student‑athletes as it relates to the goals of the department and college. Assist in developing a competitive intercollegiate Track and Field Sprints team that reflects Lane's Vision, Mission, and Values while demonstrating a strong work ethic, high levels of integrity, and honesty.
Essential Functions- Assistant coaching responsibilities for Track & Field will include pre‑season, in‑season, post‑season and out‑of‑season responsibilities.
- Coaching responsibilities include training, supervising student‑athletes, maintaining a working knowledge of the rules governing the sport to be coached, maintaining statistics, assist with fund‑raising and recruiting, maintaining athletic equipment, facilities and supplies, and travel.
