Program Coordinator - Post Graduate Planning Specialist - Churchill High School Job Eugene area,Oregon USA,Education / Teaching

This position is for the 2026/2027 school year.
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, 8 hours per day position working on the CL-10 schedule, Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Overview

We seek a candidate with strong background in post‑secondary transition planning, ability to help students navigate college, trade school, military, and workforce pathways. The role involves working closely with counseling department, leveraging guidance operations, supporting student success, and managing/mastering schedules into Synergy.

Key Responsibilities

Dispense career information to counselors, students, and parents, handling complex tasks with initiative and judgment.
Use information storage/retrieval system to support student scholarship applications, college selection, vocational guidance, and career research.
Coordinate with guests and school to schedule events (symposiums, speakers, conferences) to keep students updated on career options. Work with students drop‑in and scheduled basis.

Essential Functions

Recruit, refer, evaluate, and place Cross‑Aged Tutors for feeder schools.

Recruit, schedule visits, and enroll qualified students in Upward Bound program (lien with University of Oregon).

Recruit, refer, track, evaluate and distribute placements for ESCAPE Students.

Manage applications, evaluations, record‑keeping for students receiving credit for employment.

Prepare an annual report of Career Center activities and compile data for other reports.

Maintain regular and prompt attendance.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of resource materials for vocational selection guidance and continuing education programs.

Knowledge of organizations, labor market, and occupational attributes.

Considerable organizational skills.

Ability to deal diplomatically with diverse stakeholders.

Ability to use current office technology and equipment (computer systems, fax, copiers).

Ability to use/learn CIS.

Experience differentiating practices for diverse populations.

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse students, staff, and community populations.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.

One year of secretarial/clerical experience with typing 50 wpm.

Sufficient college training or experience in vocational research or counseling to provide accurate career guidance.

Bilingual proficiency and/or multicultural experience strongly preferred.
